UAE sizzles at nearly 52°C, residents urged to keep themselves hydrated

The highest temperature recorded over the UAE on Sunday was 51.8ºC in Sueihan, Al Ain at 2.30pm, the National Center of Meteorology (NCM) stated.

The NCM said that the lowest temperature recorded over the country on Sunday was 22.2°C in Damtha, Al Ain at 5:45am UAE time.

The weather in the UAE, for the past couple of days, has been very hot and humid.

Health experts have urged residents and workers to protect themselves from the scorching heat and periodically hydrate themselves.    

The NCM has said temperatures expected on Monday in the country will be in the range of —

Dubai: 46-29°C
Sharjah: 45-29°C
Ajman: 41-28°C
Umm Al Quwain: 43-26°C
Ras Al Khaimah: 41-29°C
Fujairah: 34-31°C

The NCM expects the weather on Monday to be generally clear, and low clouds will appear on the eastern coast in the morning, with the possibility of convective clouds forming in the east in the afternoon, hot during the day, humid at night.

Fog-UAE

Tuesday morning will witness fog over some coastal and inland areas, especially the western ones.

Winds are light to moderate, sometimes active during the day, causing dust.
