UAE reports 1,490 new coronavirus cases, 2 deaths and 1,451 recoveries

The Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP) announced that it conducted 241,630 additional COVID-19 tests and detected 1,490 new coronavirus cases.

The new cases bring the total number of recorded cases in the UAE to 552,920.

All the test were conducted using state-of-the-art medical testing equipment.

According to the Ministry statement all the infected individuals are from various nationalities, in a stable condition and are receiving the necessary care.

The total number of deaths  due to coronavirus complications in the UAE rose to 1,644 on Friday after Ministry announced two more deaths.

MoHAP also noted that an additional 1,451 individuals had fully recovered from COVID-19, bringing the total number of recoveries to 532,910.

The Ministry has also announced that 122,001 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine were given in the past 24 hours.

The total number of doses provided up to Friday stands at 11,944,055 with a rate of vaccine distribution of 120.76 doses per 100 people.

The Ministry has expressed its sincere condolences to the family of the deceased and wished COVID-19 patients a speedy and full recovery.

The Ministry has urged all members of the society to cooperate with health authorities, adhere to the instructions and physical distance to ensure the health and safety of all.
