UAE updates travel measures urges everyone to get vaccinated

The UAE government has urged everyone to get vaccinated to achieve the goal of a zero coronavirus case in the country.

Dr Saif Al Dhaheri, the spokesperson for the National Emergency Crisis and Disaster Management Authority, announced the review and update of the National Travel Protocol to include easing of procedures for vaccinated with regard to isolation and quarantine, according to the destinations concerned.

He also urged every member of the society to get vaccinated.   

Saif said, “We emphasise the importance of taking the vaccine, which will have a positive effect on the Emirati community by breaking the chain of infection, and preserving the achievements made in the face of COVID-19, with the need to ensure that we continue to adhere to the precautionary measures after taking the vaccine, and adhere to the laws and guidelines.

“We call on everyone to adhere to the measures issued by the concerned authorities, such as social distancing and wearing masks permanently, even after the vaccination doses are completed, upheld the #CommittToWin initiative, so that life will return to normal soon”

Saif said, “With the continuous mutations in the COVID-19 virus that the entire world is facing, we recommend that everyone take the initiative to get vaccinated.

“We would like to announce the review and update of the National Travel Protocol to include easing of procedures for vaccinated with regard to isolation and quarantine, according to the destinations concerned. And that is in proportion to the preventive and precautionary measures that guarantee the safety and security of all members of society.”
