Truck catches fire in Sharjah, no casualties reported

Sharjah police patrols and civil defence teams on Tuesday doused the blaze on a truck after it caught fire on its way to Dubai from Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Road.

 

The truck was totally damaged from the front, but fortunately no casualties were reported and the fire was successfully extinguished.

 

Sharjah Police officials revealed that the fire was reported at 4:40 am.

 

Police patrols were assigned to coordinate traffic flow, while civil teams worked on extinguishing the blasted fire.

 

The truck driver was given the necessary medical aid and was safely taken away from the fire.

 

Investigations are now being carried out by police to know the cause fire.

 

Police officials ensured the public that no major accidents had taken place due to heavy fog, but also urged drivers to carry out vehicle maintenance and regular checkups in order to avoid the occurring of accidents.
