Seconds after the fireworks went off announcing the start of an iconic new decade 2021, baby Ibrahim was born at a premier healthcare facility Aster Hospital Quisais in Dubai.

The first baby of 2021 arrived at 00:00, weighing in at 3.50kg to Indian parents — Ibra Khan and Yasser Khan.

Baby Ibrahim was born with an emergency delivery.

The baby boy weighs 3.50kg and is 51.5cm in length.

The Khans welcomed their first baby. Father Yasser Khan said, “I would like to thank the Aster team, specially the nurses and staff who were present in the labour room.

“They were very nice and Aster Hospitality is a very good one. I was very nervous while bringing my wife here for my first child and thanks to the team all my worries went away with happiness when I was blessed with a beautiful baby.

“Thank you so much for taking care of us and getting gift hamper on New Year.”

Dr Suchita Mehrishi, Speciality Gynecologist Aster Hospital Quisais said, “The entire world is looking forward to 2021 as a new beginning and I am happy that my new year night was spent helping a couple welcome a newborn baby.”

The second baby was born at 4:28am at the hospital to Fairusa Tharayil and Sunil Kuttaseri.
Fairusa had a normal delivery.

The couple welcomed their second child, a baby daughter.

The baby weighs 3.36kg and 51cm in length upon delivery.

Sunil Kuttaseri said “It was fortune to having a New Year baby and for all the best support from Aster Hospital members, thank you very much and thanks to god.”

The attending doctor for Fairusa’s delivery was Dr Fathima Safa.

Both the families expressed their happiness at the arrival of their child in the New Year. The families also thanked the hospital administration and all staff for the care that surrounded the family and their child.
