His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, on his Twitterhandle announced that GITEX 2020 will be launched tomorrow (Dec.6).
“GITEX 2020 will be the most important and realistic global technical event in 2020 and the UAE will be the fastest country to recover fro COVID-19 in the world,” Sheikh Mohammed tweeted.
"Our institutions have proven their ability to adapt and we will conclude 2020 with a global event and we will start 2021 with a series of projects and major initiatives,” he said.
It is exhibition’s 40th session and about 1,200 companies from 60 countries will be displaying the latest technology products.
The GITEX 2020 will run until Dec.10 at the Dubai World Trade Centre.
“GITEX 2020 will be graced by the participation of 200 of the most important technology investment companies and 350 speakers in artificial intelligence, smart cities, financial technology, the future of education and health, and the future of remote work,” Sheikh Mohammed tweeted further.
“2021 is going to be UAE’s our golden jubilee, and God willing it will be different from all other years,” Sheikh Mohammed concluded.
His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of UAE and Ruler of Dubai, inaugurated the Mohammed Bin Rashid Medical Research Institute, the UAE’s first independent biomedical research centre.
The event, organised by the UAE Space Agency, is the largest gathering of global space industry leaders in the Middle East and North Africa.
Mohammed also praised New Zealand’s communities for their solidarity with their Muslim neighbours against the hate crime.
