VIDEO: Breathtaking fireworks enthral residents at Global Village

Global Village in Dubai sets off a massive fireworks display for its guests and Dubai residents on the occasion of the 49th UAE National Day on Wednesday night.

 

The more than a minute long pyrotechnics display mesmerized residents all across the emirates.

 

Besides many new and first time visitors in the Global Village, guests were invited to make memories especially after a tough year with coronavirus.

 

The village set up unique installations to celebrate the diversity and unity of the UAE.

 

Volunteers were stationed all across the village to guide people and urge them to follow social distancing and health protocols due to coronavirus.

 

The global authority on record-breaking achievements, Guinness World Records (GWR) is witnessing 3 world records attempts by Global Village, as part of 25 world records planned to celebrate the 25th anniversary of this popular attraction.

 

Global Village is planning to use the maximum number of flags to create the Largest flag number, create the Largest bottle cap sentence with at least 13,434 total number to break the previous record, and put together Largest Admission ticket mosaic (flag) as the current minimum stands at 50 square metres.

 

In Abu Dhabi, Yas Mall are attempting to create the Largest sand art structure, which has a current minimum of 266.2 kilograms for a record achieved back in 2012.

 

Yas Mall is planning to raise the bar smash this record by creating a giant size Sand Art bottle. A team of expert artists will create an eye-catching sand visual illustrating the UAE’s National Day themes. The enormous bottle will be displayed in Town Square, Yas Mall till 5th of December.

 

Shoppers and visitors of the capital are invited to watch the Guinness World Records attempt as it happens live.
