Dubai Police have fulfilled the wish of a young man of determination to experience diving by training him on recreational diving and how to use diving equipment.

This kind gesture came during a visit from a delegation, representing both the Ports Police Station in Dubai and the People of Determination Council at Dubai Police, to the Ajman Club for the Disabled where they met Musa Hussein Murad, a motor impaired young man who has always wished to experience recreational diving.

Colonel Saeed Al-Madhani, Director of the Ports Police Station, said that the fulfilment of Murad’s wish is within the framework of Dubai Police’s keenness to spread happiness and positivity among various segments of society, especially people of determination.

Meanwhile, Lieutenant Colonel Ali Abdullah Al Qassib Al Naqbi, head of the Marine Rescue Department at the Ports Police Station, explained that the Station, in cooperation with partners in the Bermuda Diving Centre, assigned a frogmen team to accompany the young man in his experience and help him realise his dream.

Lt. Col. Al Naqbi also lauded the cooperation with Mr Abdullah Salem Matar Al Shamsi, Vice President of Ajman Club for the Disabled, and his effective contribution to realising Murad’s dream.

Mr Saif Juma Al Falasi, Chairman of the People of Determination Council at Dubai Police, said the Council, established by His Excellency Lieutenant-General Abdullah Khalifa Al Marri, Commander-in-chief of Dubai Police, has always been keen on carrying out various initiatives to please people of determination.

Al Falasi also reaffirmed the Council’s keenness to work with different departments and police stations to help people of determination overcome challenges, and to provide them with police services that meet and suit their needs, whether through the smart App or in person.

Samira Thabet, Secretary of the Council of Determination in Dubai Police, said that this is another initiative carried out by the Ports Police Station and the People of Determination Council to instil happiness among people of determination.

She explained that fulfilling Murad’s wish proves that nothing could stop people of determination from experiencing various adventurers, especially sports.

Musa Hussein Murad expressed his gratitude to the Dubai Police for their generous response and helping him achieve what he had thought was impossible.
