Abu Dhabi excuses COVID-19 vaccine trial participants from PCR test before entry

The Emergency, Crisis and Disasters Committee for Abu Dhabi has granted special measures for participants of the COVID-19 vaccine clinical trial.

The participants do not need a PCR or DPI test to enter Abu Dhabi, they do not need to quarantine after their abroad travel but must take a PCR test before and after travelling. They are exempted from PCR tests on the 4th and 8th  days after entry into the emirate.

The measures are for participants in the vaccine trial immediately after their first dose and also for those in the National Vaccination Programme 28 days after their second dose.

Participants of the trial are identified by a gold star in the Alhosn app.

For those participating in the vaccination programme, they do not need a PCR or DPI test to get into Abu Dhabi, they are exempted from isolation after travelling but they need to take a PCR test before travelling and upon arrival, as well as on the 4th and 8th days after entry.

Vaccination programme participants are identified by the letter E in the Alhosn app.
