The Dubai Police rescued seven tourists on board a boat after their boat failed to operate in the middle of the sea due to a malfunction in its battery.

The police received an alert about the incident when one of the tourists contacted them via the SOS service on the Dubai Police app.

Brigadier Nabil Abdullah, Deputy Director of the General Department of Operations at Dubai Police, affirmed that upon receiving the alert message, they immediately contacted the tourists on board.

“All were then taken on police boats to Dubai,” said Abdullah.

The tourist who alerted the police said the group had rented the boat and were on a cruise.
