The Dubai Public Prosecution referred to the Criminal Court on Tuesday a 35-year-old Arab suspect who seized more than Dhs1.4m from a GCC national after deceiving him through falsifying an official report attributed to a government body.

Details of the case date back to 2017, when the victim gave the suspect the amount to found a car rental company.

The suspect reportedly deceived the victim by forging a commercial licence in the name of the latter.

The victim testified that he had given the suspect Dhs1,100,000 and a car worth Dhs300,000 to establish a rental vehicle office.

He added that the suspect accompanied him to a sandy yard with about 40 vehicles he claimed they belonged to the victim’s rental office according to a commercial licence which turned out to be forged, so the court ordered the suspect imprisonment.
