An Arab operation manager, 41-year-old, was jailed and referred to criminal court for sexually assaulting an Asian female employee while working in one of Dubai’s hypermarkets.

The victim during investigation said that while she was doing her work at the fruits and vegetables section of the hypermarket, she was surprised with the defendant groping her from the back, then turned to stand before her face without having any shame of what he did.

When she confronted him, the defendant denied and claimed that he had not done anything and left.

The victim immediately called her manager to report the assault and inform the police.

Moreover, an investigation officer testified that police have received a call, reporting about an assault incident that took place in one of the hypermarkets in Garhoud.

When the police arrived, they learnt from the victim about details of the incident, and began their investigation, to successfully arrest the defendant after few days.

The defendant confessed to his actions and claimed that he was under the influence of medications at the time of the incident.
