The Dubai Multi Commodities Centre adds new dog park in its Jumeirah Lake Towers.

All the dog lovers will be glad to know that a park has been opened in Dubai where visitors can train their dogs, help them exercise or have fun playing fetch.

Assuring the safety to the visitors, residents and pets – the JLT community continues to offer a friendly, secure, and safe environment that guests and their pets will love.

The Dubai Multi Commodities Centre (DMCC) – the world’s flagship free zone and Government of Dubai Authority on commodities trade and enterprise, officially inaugurated the JLT Dog Park at its Jumeirah Lake Towers, JLT community in Dubai.

The JLT Dog Park provides a safe and enclosed space for residents, neighbouring communities as well as visitors to walk and exercise their dogs in a controlled environment and in companionship with others, DMCC said in a statement today (June 28).

The 475 square metre gated park offers various features, including a sand pit, open green space, shaded seating area and dog play equipment. "Visitors will be welcome 7 days a week from 08:00 am to 09:00 pm," it added.

The JLT Dog Park provides a safe and enclosed space for residents.

The opening of this new amenity within the community underscores DMCC’s ongoing efforts to enhance the lifestyle experience in the JLT district, host to a growing community of over 100,000 people who live, and work and visit the area. As the master developer of the JLT district, DMCC continues to play a prominent role in shaping the development of its community and paving the way for a vibrant business and leisure hub.

DMCC advised the visitors with some guidelines which read:

Handlers must have a leash available at all times. A dog must be kept on a leash until it is inside the park, and must be placed on a leash before it is taken outside of the dog park. Dogs must be removed from the off-leash dog area at the first sign of aggression.

Handlers are limited to a maximum of two dogs and are responsible for removal and disposal of waste.

Female dogs currently in estrus, sick dogs, aggressive dogs and puppies under 4 months are not allowed and dogs that don’t have a current Dubai Municipality ID tags issued. The tags must be attached to the dogs’ collars or harnesses.

Dogs aren’t permitted when the park is closed or outside of opening hours.
