Four Mediclinic facilities have resumed full outpatient and inpatient services for the community. Mediclinic managed other facilities dedicated to treating COVID-19 patients, including Universal Hospital, which has also discharged its last case.

Mediclinic hospitals in Abu Dhabi emirate are now free of COVID-19 cases, after playing a pivotal role in managing and treating cases in recent months.

Employees praise the cooperation between private and public sectors to combat the pandemic.

The staff celebrated a milestone following the discharge of the last Covid-19 patient from Mediclinic’s group of hospitals in Abu Dhabi.

“With all the community together, we’ve really reached a great milestone.” Hospital Director Joe Hazel reflects on the power of partnership in combatting COVID-19 and reaching this stage of no cases in the hospital.

Dr Jamal Al Kaabi, acting undersecretary of Department of Health said, "It is without a doubt that the national efforts and the teamwork between the public and private sectors are what enabled us to face this pandemic and maintain the health and safety of all members of the community."

As a gesture of heartfelt thanks to Abu Dhabi’s frontline healthcare workers for their tireless efforts caring for the community, Forsan Al Emarat undertook an awe-inspiring fly-past of the emirate’s hospitals.
