Museums and cultural destinations are preparing to open its doors in the emirate of Abu Dhabi to receive visitors after its success in applying the preventive guidelines set by the Department of Tourism and Culture.

There will be a number of guidelines in place to ensure safety to the visitors and employees.

As part of the measures each site will have a visitor capacity of 40% and visitors will be allowed to remain up to 3 hours inside the facility.

Authorities said that all digital guides rather than printed guides will shared with the visitors to avoid passing the germs from one person to another and all the touch screens are being removed from the destinations.

Regular sterilisation and cleaning of facilities will be conducted and floors will have a clear social distancing demarcations so that visitors maintain a distance 2 metres.

Daily and periodical temperature checks of the employees will be conducted and employees will not be allowed to work until they test negative for Covid-19.

Sterilisers and thermal devices are installed at the entrances and it is mandatory for visitors and the staff to wear masks and gloves.

Mandatory isolation room for suspected cases to be allocated and all the workshops, classes and programmes will remain suspended.

Glass partitions are being installed wherever possible.

The necessary precautions are taken in the highest health and safety standards in each location, in order to preserve the health and safety of visitors and secure a safe experience.
