The Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (Dubai Tourism) has issued complete and detailed guidelines for the home and hotel quarantine of residents returning to Dubai, and residents of the city.

The guidelines included pre-arrival procedures that include providing travellers with the necessary information during and after booking airline tickets.

All residents returning to Dubai must quarantine themselves for 14 days at either home or a hotel, according to a new set of guidelines issued by Dubai Tourism.

There will be certain hotels that have been designated for quarantine, as the 14-day-stay will be paid for by residents returning to the country. And in case they choose home quarantine, they must have all conditions of home quarantine as specified in the new guidelines.

The returning residents will be tested for COVID-19 at the Dubai airport itself upon their arrival. The authorities will make sure that all conditions of home quarantine are met and it will be mandatory for them to install and register in the COVID-19 DXB App, as well as signing a pledge upon their arrival. As for those who choose hotel quarantine, they must book a hotel from the list of specified hotels for this purpose before leaving the airport. The immigration and luggage pick-up processes will be under strict control to ensure safety of all. Furthermore, transport will be provided for the residents of hotel quarantine.

Additionally, all passengers must complete the 14-day quarantine whether home or hotel quarantine, as they will be connected to a tele-doctor 24×7 during their quarantine period through a dedicated mobile app.
