Maj. Gen. Ali Abdullah Bin Alwan, Commander-in-Chief of Ras Al Khaimah Police, has directed to reopen the Traffic and Licensing Services Centre, the Office of Internal and External Office of Drivers Test, and Heavy Test Centre, in the Al-Saadi area, starting from (Sunday-May10, 2020). These service centres will allow entry of 30 per cent only of their capacity of customers to be served inside the centres, based on directives of Maj.  “This step comes within the framework of the police’s keenness to continue the work, and to start the gradual return to normalcy, within the precautionary requirements to prevent the spread of COVID-19, in addition to completing transactions of customers in distinguished services,” he added.

Brigadier Mohammed Saeed Al-Humaidi, Director General of Central Operations at Ras Al Khaimah Police, explained that the procedures that should be followed at those centres include a fresh COVID-19 test certificate of no more than 48 hours for customers wishing to apply for driving tests with adherence to wearing gloves and masks, and physical distancing in the waiting hall.

He also pointed out that these requirements also include sterilising hands before and after paying the fees.

Children 3-12 years are not allowed in the place or the elderly over 60, to preserve their safety.
