Dubai launches sterilisation campaign

The sterilisation campaign will continue for 10 days.

As part of the UAE’s determined efforts to ensure the highest levels of protection for society, the Dubai Municipality launched a clean-up and sterilisation campaign on Friday for all streets and facilities in the emirate. The campaign will continue for 10 days, according to the plan set by the municipality.

The campaign began at 1:00 p.m. from Al-Raqqa Street, under the supervision of officials and leaders of the Dubai Municipality.

The sterilisation process has been scheduled to conclude by Al-Habab Road on March 30, the Municipality said.

The campaign aims to raise awareness of the importance of commitment to the health instructions and guidelines through its cadres who have experience and high efficiency in the field of sterilisation. They have been provided with suits designated for such tasks to ensure their safety in the field.

The Dubai Municipality confirmed that on the first day, all the facilities of Al-Raqqa Street were sterilized including its markets, installations, stores and buildings to provide safety procedures for road users in the presence of tanks loaded with sterile materials to be sprayed in the various streets of the emirate.

The competent teams sprayed pavements and sidewalks in the entire area to prevent the spread of infection and maintain the health of community members.
