Pop sensation Dua Lipa took Dubai by storm with a captivating maiden concert at The Pointe, on The Palm Jumeirah, on Friday.
The English singer, songwriter and model said on Twitter, “15 NOV 19 - Felt so good to be back on that stage! Thank you Dubai for your energy... thank you for making my first trip out here so much fun!!”
The 24-year-old singer-songwriter made her debut in 2015 with the single "New Love". By the time her second hit, "Be the one" was released, she was already on way to becoming a global sensation.
"One Kiss", her 2018 single with Calvin Harris sclaed the top spot in the UK charts. Over the years, she has featured on the US Billboard Hot 100 and also topped the Billboard Dance Club Songs chart, and she has entered the the UK Top 10 several times.
A winner of multiple awards including the Grammy and the BRIT Awards, she has collaborated with big names including Sean Paul, Calvin Harris and Diplo.
On the personal front, Dua Lipa and model Anwar Hadid have been seeing each other for just two-and-a-half months, and sources say they have already moved in together.
They have started renting an apartment here so he can be closer to his sisters and models Gigi and Bella. The couple plan to move into their new place later this month.
Dua will now split her time between New York, his house in Los Angeles and her home in London.
