SHAMS to be part of leading FDI forum

Sharjah Media City (Shams) registered to be the Gold Sponsor for the 5th edition of the Sharjah FDI Forum 2019, one of the leading investment conference and exhibition events in the Mena region. The forum will be held on Nov.11–12, 2019 at Al Jawaher Reception and Convention Centre, Sharjah, UAE.

Over the years, Sharjah has witnessed substantial growth and achievement boasting a stable investment economy, and is one of the key players in attracting business services from across the globe to the emirate.

Known as the UAE’s fastest growing media free zone, Sharjah Media City has served as a catalyst for media businesses to grow and prosper, providing a conducive environment for innovators to learn, live and co-create.

Sharjah Media City’s Chairman, Dr Khalid Omar Al Midfa, will be present at this year’s event. His visit will include giving a presentation along with Khulud Abu Homos, on the UAE Entertainment Experience, the first of its kind project to produce the first crowd-sourced film in the Arab World. The presentation on “Setting the Cinema Landscape for Investors,” will be held on the first day of the two-day event.

During the event, Dr Midfa will also be seen participating in a panel discussion titled “Youth Circle Discussion: The Future of Youth in the Era of Digital Enterprise.” In another discussion, panellist Al Hamdi will speak about investing in Sharjah, throwing light on the new opportunities and potential of the emirate whilst providing strategies that make doing business easier in the emirate.

Meanwhile, in an unrelated development the International Norwegian Organisation for Justice and Peace (INOJP), and the Bay Ridge University for Studies and Research, have honoured one of its prominent Ambassadors in the Arab World and Afghanistan, Dr Namatullah Safi, Peace Ambassador, Founder and President of Voice of Peace Community, with an honorary doctorate for his dedicated work and efforts.

Dr Namatullah Safi was honoured at the 2nd international forum of INOJP in Sharjah, and was also appointed as an ambassador of peace and goodwill of the organisation.
