A salesman who forged paperwork in a bid to smuggle cigarette packets disguised as ink cartridges attracted a Dhs2.5m fine against his boss, a jury heard on Monday.
The defendant used the forged documents to open a new company of his own name and steal the victim’s customers after convincing them that the company belongs to the victim.
An African salesman was sentenced to 6 months imprisonment and was fined Dhs150,000, for forging an entry permit to scam a female visitor to pay him Dhs12,500.
The video showed the security personnel rushing in just in time to save the woman after she lost balance and fell on the platform.
The media said that the device was dismantled and defused by a bomb disposal squad.
