One dead, 2 injured in Dubai building explosion

One person died and two sustained injuries in a cooking gas explosion at a building in Bur Dubai on Saturday.

The explosion happened in a studio apartment on the sixth floor.

It damaged the windows and the walls of the building.

Dubai Civil Defence controls yacht fire

Residents of the building have been evacuated and placed in nearby hotel apartments.

An investigation on the gas pipe leakage is being carried out.

The injured are receiving treatment at the Rashid Hospital Trauma Care.
