The Dubai Public Prosecution referred two Asians to the Dubai Criminal Court on forced robbery charges.

According to the official records, the defendants, a man and a woman, confessed to having beaten the victim, a Gulf citizen, and stealing his debit card and using it to withdraw money.

During the investigations, the victim testified that he went to the house of the female defendant, who was his friend, to give her a sugar testing machine. He then went with her to his vehicle to be surprised by a vehicle stopping behind him. The driver of the other vehicle, the first defendant, got down from his vehicle and sat behind the victim, putting a knife to the victim’s neck and asking for money.

The victim stated that the woman helped the perpetrator by forcing the victim to withdraw money from his account. The victim tried to escape but the defendants beat him up and took his money.

The working team formed by Dubai Police was able to catch the defendants and refer them to the competent authorities.
