The UAE has introduced 3D pedestrian crossings in two emirates.

The 3D pedestrian crossings would help reduce run-over incidents and over-speeding cases in Abu Dhabi and Ras Al Khaimah.

The Municipality of Al Dhafra Region developed a three-dimensional pedestrian crossing that was designed with 3D printing technology in order to reduce accidents and slow the speeding cars.

The municipality is also completing traffic safety measures and precautions in five children's playgrounds between residential neighbourhoods in the city, using speed bumps in addition to the establishment of a pedestrian walkway and the putting up warning signs.
