Sheikh Mohammed inspects Deira Market, takes an Abra ride

A video grab shows Sheikh Mohammed taking a boat ride in Dubai.

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, on Monday, made a surprise visit to the Deira Old Market.

The Ruler of Dubai was on an inspection tour of the historical marketplace.

According to a video shared by Emirates Royal Family Instagram account, Sheikh Mohammed took an Abra (boat) ride with officials. He made a stop at the Gold Souq and also visited the famous Deira spice market.

The Emirates Royal Family social account keeps a track of the royal family in the UAE.

Sheikh Mohammed is known for making surprise visits or inspections. 

In 2017, Sheikh Mohammed was seen touring City Walk with officials.

In 2016, Sheikh Mohammed made an unannounced visit to government offices only to find empty chairs and rooms.
