Pak singer to perform in Dubai

Balouch has won various awards including Pakistan’s Youngest Achievement Award UK and Europe 2011 in Britain.

Well-known singer-composer Quratulain Balouch is set to dazzle visitors with her performance at Bollywood Parks Dubai, the premier Bollywood-themed park, part of Dubai Parks and Resorts, the largest integrated theme park destination in the region.

Quratulain Balouch, the popular Pakistani singer, composer and a songwriter, who is known for her famous track Woh Humsafar Tha, will entertain guests on July 19th inside the Rajmahal Theatre - an opulent and state-of-the-art theatre spread across two levels.

Balouch has won various awards including Pakistan’s Youngest Achievement Award UK and Europe 2011 in Britain, Singer of the Year at Pakistan Media Awards and many others.

Tickets for the concert will be priced at Dhs175 and Dhs145 for the Black Diamond and Gold category respectively, while the tickets for Silver and Platinum category will be priced at Dhs100 and Dhs75 respectively. The tickets will also provide park access, including rides, live entertainment acts and much more.

Bollywood Parks Dubai, the world’s first and only Bollywood-themed attraction, features some of the greatest Bollywood blockbusters. Guests can enjoy spectacular live Bollywood dance performances and acts. In addition, they will also get the chance to meet their favourite movie star lookalikes such as Shah Rukh Khan or Amitabh Bachchan.

Recently, a group of Pakistani artists who visited the Rashid Centre for Determined Ones got emotional on witnessing the performance of the students and termed their tour of the facility as the memorable experience of a lifetime. They also appreciated the services and rehabilitation courses of the centre in building confidence and various skills among the students of determination.

The group of Pakistani artists, which included singer Umair Jaswal, actress Sanaa Javed, singer Aima Baig and Faisal Khan, visited the Rashid Centre to spend some time with the students in a solidarity gesture. They were received by Maryam Othman, Director of the Centre, who elaborated on the various services and rehabilitation programmes.

Talking to Gulf Today, the artists expressed their experiences and vowed to extend their full support to include these children in the mainstream.

“The tour at the centre gives us an opportunity to see the services and rehabilitation programmes being offered to the children of determination. Most important, I was amazed to witness the confidence level of these children which is beyond any expression,” said Umair Jaswal.
