A cleaner returned a bag he found that contained 15kg of gold in Dubai. Authorities say the gold was worth Dhs7 million.
Taher Ali Maqbool, a cleaner stationed in Al Sabkha, came across the bag while cleaning in parking area.
The bag containing golf bars.
The cleaner noticed the bag and its content. Realising its importance, he contacted the Road and Transport Authority (RTA).
He then took the bag to the RTA office.
In recognition of his honesty, Mattar Al Tayer, Director General and Chairman of the Board of Executive Directors of the RTA honoured Maqbool.
The service comes with an affordable fare of Dhs15 for Silver Class and Dhs25 for Gold Class.
