Eid Al Fitr was a truly special occasion across Meraas destinations for residents and visitors.

From dazzling fireworks to fun-filled family entertainment and Meraas Eidiya Gift Card giveaways, Eid Al Fitr was a truly special occasion across Meraas destinations this year.

On the first day of Eid, the reds, greens and electric silver sparks of Dubai’s most spectacular fireworks displays lit up the skies over La Mer and Al Seef. The young ones and the young at heart enjoyed unrivalled views of the incandescent dances of colour that took place at the two waterfront destinations.

A host of exciting parades and performances across Meraas leading destinations kept children entertained.

Visitors revelled in the glitzy atmosphere of the Sapphire Parade at Al Seef, while the Fusion Parade at La Mer perfectly complemented the lively fireworks.

The Ballerina Show at City Walk made little dancers’ dreams come true as the Confectionery Parade at The Beach added a sweet flavour to the festivities. Meanwhile, the Fantasy Parade and Butterfly Parade at The Outlet Village created a magical fairytale ambience.

And the celebrations didn’t stop there.

Dubai Marina Mall and The Springs Souk mark Eid Al Fitr with special activities to keep the littlest members of the tribe entertained for hours.

Every day from 12pm to 8 pm, starting June 4-10, Dubai Marina Mall will be hosting an interactive and engaging Kids’ Playzone.

Divided into three separate areas - the Soft Play Zone, a Play Area and an Arts and Crafts zone, this Eid Al Fitr kids can indulge in fun games and activities as well as learn to make Eid decorations and greeting cards.

At the Arts and Crafts zone, children can learn about Eid traditions through meaningful activities like creating Arabic inspired paper lantern, making picture frames using popsicle sticks and decorative jewels along with creating traditional decorative moon and stars.

Making Eid delightful for the young ones, The Springs Souk is hosting a special children’s activation for three days starting from the first day of Eid from 12pm to 8pm.

Make sure to visit The Springs Souk as a thrilling show by a kid’s magician awaits you. Embark on a magical adventure as the children’s story teller spin yarns about traditional fairy tales and Eid stories.

A fascinating activation for all the little ones would be the Balloon Bender where kids can immerse in an imaginary world as the talented artist captures their dreams through pets, accessories and magical ideas. Not to forget, there will also be plenty of Eid inspired Arts and Craft activities to join in every day.

Muslims in UAE have celebrated the first day of the Eid Al Fitr on Tuesday with religious harmony and traditional fervor. The multinational diasporas in the country has Muslim population all over the world and living in close to their fellow countrymen to follow the tradition they have been used to in their native towns.

Like many other prominent communities in the country, the Muslims from different parts of Pakistan are second largest expatriate community in the country and have been celebrating the principal festival of Muslim calendar with religious zeal and fervor.

In Dubai the major congregation of the community held at the central mosque located in Oud Metha where prominent community members including businessmen, professionals and members of different sectors gathered from all over the Emirates to offer Eid prayers.

The elders offered Eid prayers and exchange greetings while the young kids celebrated the festival to meet other community youngsters as the mosque in the area have been part of the community meet and greet place for the last couple of decades while other major community gatherings held in other prominent places of Abu Dhabi, Sharjah and Ajman.
