Dubai receives 3.1 million tourists in first two months of 2023

Dubai received about 3.1 million international tourists during January and February 2023, a growth of 41.5% compared to 2.19 million international tourists during the same period in 2022, restoring about 98.7% of pre-pandemic levels, which amounted to 3.14 million international tourists.

This is according to data from the Department of Economy and Tourism in Dubai.

The number of hotel nights booked since the beginning of the year until the end of last February amounted to about 7.28 million nights, a growth of 16%, compared to 6.3 million nights in the same period in 2022.

Hotel occupancy in the city's hotels reached 84%, compared to 78% in the same period in 2022, and 84% in the same period in 2019.

India maintained its lead as the largest exporting market for visitors to Dubai, with about 401 thousand tourists, then Russia with 229 thousand tourists, then the Sultanate of Oman with 201 thousand tourists.
