Frenchman Nathan Paulin embarked on a dangerous adventure in Paris on Saturday, after completing a 600-metre tightrope crossing between the Eiffel Tower and a building on the other side of the Seine, drew applause from a watching crowd in Paris.
In front of thousands of attendees, Paulin, 27, moved along the rope suspended 70 metres from the ground, at one point sitting, and then lying on the rope before arriving at Chaillot Theater at the end of the half-an-hour show.
"The start from the Eiffel Tower is really beautiful," he said.
"During the show, I didn't feel it, and I wasn't really afraid of that height."
He added that Saturday's achievement came after four years of training, and after overcoming his fear of heights as a child.

The crossing, broadcast by live channels, in which Paulin used a safety rope, took about 30 minutes, and repeatedly received warm applause from Parisians and tourists.
In 2019, Paulin performed a 150-metre tightrope show, running 510 meters between two skyscrapers in the La Defense business district in Paris.
