Bollywood stars Shahid Kapoor and Kriti Sanon landed in Dubai on Saturday evening to promote their latest film, “Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya.” This is the first time Shahid and Kriti will be seen together for a film. The film, which has already created a lot of curiosity and excitement soon after the release of its trailer, is set to be released on Feb.8 in the UAE. It is an attempt to show how a robot and a human move ahead in life, and that’s why makers are calling it “an impossible love story.”

Kriti, who has never shied away from challenging herself with different characters in films, be it her character in “Bhediya” or “Mimi,” plays the role of a humanoid robot “Sifra,” with whom veteran actor Shahid falls in love and that’s the plot of the film.

Written and directed by Amit Joshi and Aradhana Sah, Dinesh Vijan, Jyoti Deshpande, and Laxman Utekar have produced it. Dinesh, who is known for producing critically and commercially acclaimed films such as “Stree,” “Hindi Medium,” “Luka Chuppi,” “Badlapur,” “Love Aaj Kal,” “Cocktail” and “Bhediya,” praised his writer and director. He also praised Shahid for his involvement in the whole process of writing. He said, “I must give credit to Shahid for spending as much time as the writers spent during the process of writing.”  He also revealed, “It was Shahid who suggested the name of Kriti for the role of Sifra.”

While talking to the media, Shahid said, “I feel fortunate to have worked with Dinesh. I have always appreciated him for his kind of cinema. He has always made content-driven films and not star-driven. I have told this many times earlier. That’s how he has built his career. He always makes fresh and new stuff.”

Sharing his experience, he said, “Journey of the script writing was very exciting and as well as terrifying for me too, especially when it has not been done before. We have not seen such a subject being explored in the past.”

When asked to share her experience of working with extremely talented Shahid, National-award winning actress Kriti said, “I have really been wanting to collaborate with Shahid. It has been 10 years for me in the industry and I would wonder why have I not done a film with him. I am so glad to have collaborated with him finally.” She added, “I am sure chemistry between a human and a robot will move the audience.”  She added, “It is a very entertaining film. A human falling in love with technology. It has great comedy and it is a fab story.” The song of the film has managed to catch the audience’s attention already. Talking about that, Shahid said, “We are proud of our music. We wanted to make it cool. We collaborated with Jani Master, who is the best choreographer. Choreography is superb.”   At the end of the press conference, Shahid and Kriti were also joined by humanoid robot Sophia, who regaled the audience with her interaction with stars.
