Air Arabia Group has revealed 110 job opportunities through its recruitment portal. These positions cover a range of fields, including flight operations, engineering, technology, maintenance, administration, and cargo.
Some of the roles available are Airbus A320 Captain, First Officer, Aircraft Maintenance Certifying Engineer, Product Manager, Key Account Manager, Flight Operations Safety Specialist, Base Maintenance Shift Manager, Trainee Engineer, and Trainee Technician specifically for UAE nationals.
The vacancies, which have been announced since the start of September, include options in Sharjah as well as at the Group’s international locations. There are also positions and training programmes designed for graduates and UAE nationals. For pilots under contract, the advertised salaries can reach up to Dhs410,000 annually (Dhs34,000 per month) after completing the necessary training.
Monthly earnings of Dhs34,000 for pilots
The role of Airbus A320 captain is one of the most rewarding financially. After successfully completing training, the contract offers a net monthly salary of Dhs33,800 for up to 60 flight hours, as opposed to Dhs22,000 during the training period. Pilots earn an additional Dhs475 for every flight hour beyond the initial 60, and they receive a daily allowance of Dhs184.
The job posting specifies a requirement of at least 4,000 total flight hours, including 800 hours as a captain on A320 aircraft. The contract spans 15 months, with an option for renewal.
Pilots are provided enticing benefits such as hotel accommodation with breakfast, transportation, travel tickets, and a baggage allowance of up to 50kg at both the start and end of the contract. They also enjoy unlimited "standby" travel tickets across the Air Arabia network during the contract period, along with uniforms and laundry services. After six months, pilots qualify for "MYID" programme benefits. The package offers 30 days of annual leave, with rest and leave schedules guaranteeing at least seven consecutive days off each month in alignment with job conditions.
The list features a First Officer position for Airbus A320 aircraft, offering a net monthly salary of Dhs12,853 during training. Upon completion and achieving 60 flight hours, the salary increases to Dhs20,200 (or Dhs240,000 annually). Additional compensation of Dhs275 is provided for each flight hour beyond the initial 60, plus a daily allowance of Dhs184. Benefits include hotel accommodation with breakfast, transportation, travel tickets, baggage allowances, insurance, and annual leave. Applicants must have a minimum of 500 flight hours, with preference for those experienced with the A320.
Positions for Nationals
The job listings include specific opportunities for UAE nationals, such as the Airbus A320 First Officer position in Sharjah and a Graduate Engineer training program under the Emiratisation initiative. Additionally, the Group offers a Technician Trainee position for UAE nationals in Sharjah, focusing on aircraft structures, engine, and avionics maintenance, with no prior experience required. While the First Officer position demands relevant qualifications, flight licenses, and experience, the Engineer Trainee programme provides training and development in aeronautical engineering, maintenance, and airworthiness.
