The Ajman Transport Authority (ATA) announced the completion of the digital payment project in taxis by 100%, a step which reflects its commitment to adopting modern technical solutions and developing a smart and sustainable transport system which meets the aspirations of customers and supports digital transformation trends in the emirate.
ATA clarified that all fare payment operations can now be carried out electronically through multiple payment methods, including the "QR Code" displayed on the meter device or via the customer's phone, in addition to "POS" devices which support bank cards and "Contactless" payment operations, ensuring a safe, fast, and easy payment experience.
Engineer Sami Ali Al Jallaf, Executive Director of the Public Transport Corporation, affirmed that the completion of the project represents a qualitative step in developing taxi services, enhancing service efficiency and elevating the customer experience. He added that the project contributes to accelerating payment processes, providing high levels of security and reliability, reducing reliance on cash, in addition to supporting sustainability trends in the transport sector.
Al Jallaf pointed out that the ATA is moving forward in developing its digital services and applying best practices in the transport sector, which enhances Ajman's position in providing smart, safe, and sustainable transport services, and consolidates the quality of life and well-being for the community.
