The upcoming edition of HostMilano 2023, the international hospitality exhibition, is set to welcome more than 2,000 exhibitors, of which 40% are international from 50 countries at fieramilano from October 13 to 17, 2023.

In addition to the thousands of professional traders, exhibitors will meet hosted buyers from 75 countries around the world during the event in Milan to exchange latest industry trends.

HostMilano, the world’s leading food equipment hub, consolidates itself as the world’s leading platform for machines, technologies, semi-finished products, formats, accessories and services for professional hospitality, out-of-home and retail.

Data and facts prove the effectiveness of the HostMilano concept, which presents itself to the market with numbers comparable to the 2019 edition: there are more than 2,000 exhibitors, of which 40% are international from 50 countries. In addition to Italy, the top five countries in terms of exhibitor numbers include Germany, Spain, France and the United States, all of which see HostMilano as an opportunity to do “world on world” business. Switzerland, the Netherlands and Portugal followed, joined by Turkey and China.

The event combines a comprehensive overview of innovation throughout professional hospitality with vertical insights into individual sectors, thanks to a layout spread over the entire fairgrounds and divided into three macro-areas that emphasize supply chain similarities among specialized sectors: Professional Catering-Bakery, Pizza and Pasta (38% of exhibitors); Coffee-Tea, Bar-Coffee Machines-Vending Gelato-Pastry ( 42%); Furniture-Technology and Tableware (20%).

Companies from all sectors will meet, in addition to thousands of professional operators, highly profiled hosted buyers selected by Fiera Milano in 75 countries from all continents, in cooperation with ICE-ITA Agency on destination markets. Delegations from the Americas (41%), Gulf and Middle East countries (21%) and Eurasia (30%) are particularly significant. Just to mention a few names: LinkedIn (USA), with its global corporate hospitality programs; Royal Caribbean Cruise (Norway), which boasts a 26.5% share of the world cruise market thanks to a fleet of 42 ships; Sodexo (France), which offers services to 100 million consumers in 53 countries; Minor International Co. (Thailand), a multinational hospitality company that operates more than 3,000 facilities in 62 countries.

Sustainable innovation in all its facets from AI-based intelligent interfaces and automation to robots will be at display at HostMilano. Sustainable innovation is also the focus of more than 800 events, addressing market needs ranging from show-cooking to training for architects. The Smart Label - Host Innovation Award, promoted by HostMilano and Fiera Milano in partnership with POLI.design and sponsored by ADI - Industrial Design Association, features 157 nominations from Italy and abroad this year.

Tomorrow’s innovation: This leadership has continued to be consolidated for 43 editions thanks to the ability to identify, present and promote sustainable innovation that does not just respond to market demands, but proactively anticipates the future.

A demonstration of this is the value of Smart Label - Host Innovation Award in collaboration with POLI.design and under the patronage of ADI - Association for Industrial Design, which in just six editions has evolved from an authoritative recognition to an ecosystem that enhances the growing investment in Research & Development of companies in the sector: at Host 2023, the dedicated Smart Label area will in fact allow visitors to experience  the 26 award-winning products firsthand.

Trends anticipated in recent years by HostMilano, and which are now fueling the demand for dedicated technologies and products, include, for example, the development of fast food, partly in response to the return to in-person work, and increasingly blurred eating opportunities - brunch during the week, salads and bowls as snacks - and the room for expansion in high-end and fusion cuisine, with consumers wanting increasingly multisensory and lifestyle experiences, looking at novelty, quality but also design.

In addition to the exhibiting itinerary, at Host 2023 innovation will also be the main theme of the rich schedule of events.

In addition to the exhibition itinerary, at Host 2023 innovation will also be the common thread across the rich schedule of events, featuring Smart Label - Host Innovation Award, promoted by HostMilano and Fiera Milano in partnership with POLI.design and sponsored by ADI - Association for Industrial Design.  Discussion at the highest level on trends and new techniques for the pastry industry will be held at Luxury Pastry in the World by Iginio Massari. Plus, HostMilano will also be the stage for exciting world competitions by FIPGC (International Federation of Pastry Gelato and Chocolate) and so on.
