Jewels of Emirates show ends on high note, attracts huge turnout

The show has remarkably emerged as a significant local platform for showcasing the latest fashion designs of jewellery and gold.

The 2nd Edition of Jewels of Emirates show has witnessed a heavy turnout of visitors flocking to the event to take advantage of the exciting deals and attractive offers by over 100 local exhibiting companies.

organised and hosted by the Expo Centre Sharjah, with the support of the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI), the event concluded another successful edition on Saturday.

Visitors of the show have also had the opportunity to view the latest fashion designs and collections of jewellery, watches and goldware showcased by the most prestigious local brands. They were also able to take part in raffle draws to win valuable prizes and gifts.

The four-day event has effectively stimulated the gold and jewellery trade and resulted in several worthy deals, as confirmed by the majority of the exhibitors, who emphasised that the show helped them achieve rewarding returns and great sales exceeding their expectations.

Murat Nazli, CEO of Linda Bella Jewels, said: “Despite its modernity, the Jewels of Emirates has remarkably emerged as a significant local platform for showcasing the latest fashion designs of jewellery and gold, and successfully attracted dozens of local companies, adding that the exhibition provided his company with an invaluable opportunity to display the company’s latest styles. For his part, Suhaib Mohammad Al Ali, CEO of “Oud Craft”, a perfume company specialized in natural Oud and its accessories, said that the event represented a great opportunity to launch his newest product, which contains seven types of ouds from seven different countries, and promote it in front of a wide range of visitors.

Saif Mohammed Al Midfa, CEO of Expo Centre Sharjah, emphasised that the number of exhibitors in the latest edition of the show has exceeded 100, adding that the centre experienced a noticeable growth in the number of visitors and exhibitors compared to the first edition. These are positive signs that reflect the distinction and importance of the show within the industry, he said.

Lauding the distinguished public turnout witnessed by the show, Sultan Shattaf, Director of Sales and Marketing Department, Expo centre Sharjah stated that the incentives provided by the centre to support companies contributed greatly to motivating the public to visit the show and avail of the exciting deals and attractive offers available. The show was inaugurated by Sheikh Abdullah Bin Salem Bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah on Wednesday, which is being held under the theme “Glamour of beauty” amid the participation of over 100 local exhibiting companies.

In his remarks, Sheikh Abdullah said the success of the Expo Centre in attracting such a large number of top local gold and jewellery brands and the most well-known gold and watch designers confirms the significance of the event in helping them enhance their presence in local and regional markets. He lauded the efforts being made by the SCCI and the Expo Centre to revitalise the exhibitions industry and organise such innovative events, which strengthen Sharjah’s position as one of the most important cities in leading this industry in the region. Sheikh Abdullah also commended the wise visions and directives of Sheikh Dr Sultan Bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, who always calls for enhancing the economic environment of the emirate, developing business sectors, spurring investment, and increasing the commercial movement.

Jewels of Emirates Show is the first Emirati exhibition specialising in diamond jewellery, gold jewellery, silver jewellery, pearl and gemstones, luxury watches, perfumes, and fragrances. The event provides a unique platform for showcasing traditional and modern gold and silver sets and the latest designs of watches, diamonds, and gemstones. It also includes a special section for famous local brands of perfumes, fragrances, and Arab and International scents.

Separately, the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce & Industry revealed recently that the upcoming season of ‘Sharjah Summer Promotions 2021’ is to kick off on 8 July and is set to last until 26 August. The most important shopping and tourist event on the chamber agenda offers fantastic activities, fun events, valuable prizes, and amazing discounts that cater to the visitors and residents of the emirate.

 “Sharjah Summer Promotions is one of the most important events organised by the Chamber and has established itself as one of the most successful shopping events in attracting visitors and shoppers across the UAE, said Mohamed Ahmed Amin Al Awadi, Director-General, SCCI. He added: “Through this event, we aim to enhance the leading position and role of the Emirate of Sharjah, spotlight its economic, social, cultural, and tourist status, and revitalize the commercial movement in local markets. This contributes to strengthening the investment, supporting the activities and events of the private sector, and achieving the economic vision of the emirate as per the directives of its wise leadership.”
