Dubai is among the global cities that are a magnet for executives working remotely.

Lisbon ranked first and Miami second.

This is according to research conducted by Savills, which described Dubai as a well-established commercial centre for expatriates, and the list included Barbados, Barcelona and Dubrovnik, while there were no Asian cities listed except Dubai.

With the start of the pandemic, many CEOs turned to digital nomads and became living in one country and at the same time working in another.

The lower cost of living has played a role in the influx of residents who are now able to log on to work from anywhere in the world while Dubai has proven attractive to expats of all categories in previous rankings.

Paul Tosteffen, director of global research at Savills, in a phone interview, said, “The pandemic has been an incentive for executives to achieve working life without having to stay in the office.”
