Ajman businesses seek to boost partnership with Bahrain

Dr Amna Khalifa Al Ali, Chairwoman of the Ajman Businesswomen Council (AJBWC), received Sheikha Noora Bint Khalifa Al Khalifa, Chairwoman of Medpoint Design & Event Management company, and The Nine Training centre in the Kingdom of Bahrain, during a meeting.

The meeting was attended by members of the Board of Directors of AJBWC, along with a number of entrepreneurs and Bedayat license holders.

At the beginning of the meeting, Dr Amna Khalifa stressed the importance of co-operation and partnership between Gulf businesswomen and the need to allow the opportunities to exchange experiences in a way that supports the businesswomen and their significant contribution to the economies of the GCC countries.

The reception of the visiting delegation included a mini-fashion show for the Council’s female fashion designers and a brief on the “Rofoof” initiative that is dedicated to promote and market the members’ products.

The delegation was also acquainted with the electronic platforms employed by the AJBWC to ensure continuity of marketing and support activities and products of the members.  For her part, Sheikha Noora Bint Khalifa Al Khalifa thanked the Ajman Businesswomen Council for the warm reception. She introduced a brief summary of her biography, the challenges that businesswomen may face, and the mechanisms to overcome them and turn them into success factors.

She further praised the role of women in the Gulf region, where the governments believe in their ability to contribute effectively to the economy.

“The success stories are many and various translating the leadership of Gulf women,” Sheikh Noora said.

She also briefed the attendees about “Medpoint” and the various services provided by the company and the several major exhibitions organised by it during the previous years.

The attendees were further acquainted with “The Nine Training centre” and its role in providing specialised training courses and workshops.

Meanwhile, the attendees stressed the need to increase the cooperation and partnership between the AJBWC and Medpoint & The Nine Training centre to organise exhibitions and training courses that serve businesswomen.

The businesswoman Laila Al Sa’adi, owner of “Heyraat” online store, gave an overview of the project and its role in providing an innovative display platform for the products and services of the AJBWC’s members and enabling them to market their products in a way that enhances the growth and sustainability of their projects.

During the meeting, Dr Amna Khalifa briefed the visiting delegation about the AJBWC and the most important services it provides and the events and initiatives directed to its members in particular and businesswomen in general.

She also reviewed the major projects and plans that the Council is working on to serve the businesswomen and entrepreneurs, pointing to its keenness to strengthen its partnerships with government and private bodies.

Dr Amna also said that the Council intensified its partnerships with various e-commerce platforms during the past months to support the products of businesswomen who hold Bedayat license, especially in light of the repercussions of COVID-19. During the visit, Sheikha Noora Al Khalifa, accompanied by Dr Amna toured the new building of the AJBWC locating in Al Jurf area, Ajman.

She was briefed about the latest achievements and the opportunities that it will provide for the projects of entrepreneurs through creation of a permanent platform to promote their products.

The three-floor-building includes 64 stores, halls for meetings, conferences, workshops, and 164 offices for companies and training centers.

Sheikha Noora Bint Khalifa hailed the support offered by the Ajman Chamber of Commerce and Industry to businesswomen, wishing that the new building of AJBWC would represent a qualitative leap for the Council’s work and businesswomen.

In the meantime, Dr Amna praised the great role of the Ajman Chamber in providing full support for the Council’s projects and initiatives, appreciating the efforts of all concerned entities in highlighting the projects of businesswomen and the cooperation for the success and sustainability of their projects.
