Chambers of Ajman and Fujairah exchange experiences, cooperation

The Ajman Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ACCI) has received a delegation from the Fujairah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FCCI) with the aim of enhancing the cooperation, exchanging experiences and learning about best practices directed to the business community and the private sector.

Led by Sarah Mohamed Al Awadhi, Director of Internal and External  Promotion at FCCI, the delegation was received by Mohammed Al-Janahi, Executive Director of Promotion and Investment Division.

Among the attendees at the meeting were Iman Al Shamsi, Director of Development and Innovation Department, Marwan Hareb, Director of the Promotion and International Relations Department and Abdullah Abdul Mohsen Al-Nuaimi, Director of Member Relations and Support Office.

Speaking to the delegation, Al Janahi stressed the importance of mutual visits between the chambers of commerce and industry in the country, and the necessity of cooperation in developing services in line with the changes taking place in the economic sector. He also praised the efforts made by the chambers of commerce and industry in the sustainability and diversity of the private sector.

He also appreciated the leadership’s keenness to enhance the competitiveness of the country’s economy and provide incentive services to the sector. The leadership directs all concerned parties to move towards the most successful future sectors in line with the development of business regionally and globally.

During the meeting, the Ajman Chamber reviewed the most important events and exhibitions organized by it, including the Ajman International Education and Training Exhibition, the Future Build Exhibition, and the Franchise Exhibition. The delegation was also briefed about a set of services offered to members of the Ajman Chamber, including field visits that aim to enhance the direct communication between the Chamber and its members and get acquainted with aspirations of owners of companies and factories. The visits also help identify the urgent needs and the challenges facing the sustainability and development of institutions in order to foster the emirate’s competitiveness that feeds into the vision of the Emirate of Ajman and its strategic plan 2021. The Ajman Chamber further allows its members to participate in major international exhibitions locally and internationally under its umbrella with a view to exchanging experiences and opening new marketing to enhance growth of their business.

The delegation was also introduced to the Chamber’s efforts to support national activities through training courses in cooperation with the National Programme for SMEs, the Dubai Entrepreneurship Academy, Dubai SME and other entities and institutions concerned with training and rehabilitation. Moreover, it provides opportunities to participate in exhibitions allocated to entrepreneurs inside and outside the country, in addition to adopting a promotional plan for the owners of national projects through visiting and promoting the product via its official platforms.

The attendees were also briefed about the Ajman Chamber Business Award and its six categories, namely: CSR, Commercial Sector, Industrial Sector, SME, Emiratization and Innovation. It aims at instilling a culture of excellence and creating a competitive environment that contributes to the growth and sustainability of Ajman Chamber’s members by highlighting best practices in the private sector in the Emirate of Ajman.

The Fujairah Chamber’s delegation also visited the Regus Business Centre at the Ajman Chamber’s building. The centre provides office solutions for entrepreneurs and provides a stimulating environment for their business and the development of their companies.

For her part, Sarah Al-Awadi thanked the Ajman Chamber praising the outputs of the visit. She also stressed the need to increase visits in the future, which will positively reflect on the development and quality of services. At the end of the meeting, the delegation of the Fujairah Chamber received a memorial shield of Ajman Chamber. Meanwhile, the Ajman Free Zone (AFZ) won the Open Data category in the Ajman Government Excellence Program which was held earlier recently.

Ajman Digital Transformation Plan Awards celebrates a spirit of healthy competition between government establishments, departments, and public employees, all the while encouraging perseverance and diligence among them.

This commendation is in honour of AFZ’s great efforts in facilitating the business, attracting international companies to invest in AFZ, and playing a pivotal role in the growth of Ajman’s economy as well as the overall national economy.
