Gitex Shopper 2019, the region’s largest consumer electronics shopping event, opened its doors on Tuesday at the Dubai World Trade Centre with mega deals, amazing prizes and the most technologically-advanced gadgets.

The shopping extravaganza was inaugurated by Majid Saif Al Ghurair, Chairman of Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

Majid Saif Al Ghurair was joined by Helal Saeed Almarri, Director General, Dubai World Trade Centre Authority (DWTCA) and Dubai Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM), and other senior dignitaries in a VIP delegation which toured the show floor, meeting with participating exhibitors and retailers.

Gitex Shopper 2019 is spread over 15,000 square metres of the Sheikh Saeed Halls 1-3 and opens daily from 11 am to 11 pm with tickets priced at Dh20. Children under the age of five enter free, while student groups of 50 and above can get tickets at Dh10 per student. The show runs till Sept.28th

The key retailers such as Jumbo Electronics, EMax Electronics and Sharaf DG are showcasing latest smartphones and products.

Jumbo Electronics is offering customers value-added benefits such as saving extra cash through direct discounts or special services from partner brands at Gitex Shopper 2019.

Jumbo will be offering the Apple iPhone 11 for as little as Dhs138 per month in monthly instalments up to 24 months to customers with credit cards of major leading banks in the UAE.

The retailer has partnered with Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank to provide their credit card holders up to 10% off when shopping at Jumbo. In addition, customers who are buying from Jumbo Electronics will get a 30% discount on Zomato’s Gold membership; special discounts on Careem rides, and exclusive deals on flights and hotel bookings from Rehlat.com. Shoppers signing up for the new eWallet service also stand to get a cashback up to Dhs100 when they shop at Jumbo.

Jumbo is also showcasing Smart Home Connectivity, Smart Home Security, Smart Home Entertainment and Smart Home Automation to meet the growing demand for smart home products and solutions.

TRADEX Middle East, meanwhile, plans to promote its ‘Protection Pro’ on-demand mobile screen protector, which is a break and scratch-free flexible film. They also offer screen protection for watches, tablets and laptops for all models.

Dubai’s Nishat Group will also be in launch mode, bringing the Dymo Arabic labelling printer to the market and selling the Dymo Label Manager 160 Printer Arabic/English at a special show rate of Dhs 99.

As visitors take advantage of every Gitex Shopper event for an upgrade, the Shopper Trade-In offer on mobiles, tablets, laptops and desktops also returns this year and provides visitors with an opportunity to cash in on their old devices and avail further savings on their purchase of new gadgets. The initiative rewards visitors with vouchers to spend during the exhibition when they recycle their unused electronics during a five-day amnesty.
