Franchises can be great, or not. This week we are taking a look at a few franchises that took it too far by releasing too many films.
The “Harry Potter” movies are still as popular today as they were when the first one was released back in 2001. Starring Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grinch and Emma Watson as the main three characters, the first three installments of the series were great. Things took a turn with the fourth film and the ones that followed. It got a little dark and fans didn’t like it as much. After that came “Fantastic Beasts” and that was not as successful.
“Pirates of the Caribbean” is another one that’s on our list. Similar to the “Harry Potter” story, the first movie that came out in 2003 was great but after that it loses the plot. Starring Johnny Depp as Captain Jack Sparrow, the film has four installments and features many famous names in its cast.
