There are many different factors which contribute to an actor’s success. This week we are taking a look at one of those major factors which entails actors not taking certain roles which in turn leads to their increased success and fame.
Let’s look at Margot Robbie’s career path over the last decade and a half. Back in 2014 Robbie was aggressively pursued to star in the English-language take on the Japanese animated film “Ghost in the Shell” which turned out to be really bad. Instead she went for the role of Harly Quinn in “Suicide Squad.” This move really paid off in terms of her fame, popularity and star staus.
Timothée Chalamet is one of the most popular male actors at the moment after his appearances in the “Dune” movies and his role as Willy Wonka. However, things might have turned out quite differently if Chalamet had made the choice to star in “Spider-Man: Homecoming.” Apparently it was Leonardo DiCaprio who gave him some advice in 2022 which included warning him not to star in a superhero movie. The advice seems to have worked, that film didn’t do well and Chalamet’s career is going from strength-to-strength.
