Sounds like summer

A summer song just hits your ears differently. I am sure if you think back to any particular summer of your life you will remember a tune which you can call the soundtrack of that season. This week we are taking a look at some fantastic singles which definitely qualify as some of this summer’s best soundtracks.  

Beyoncé’s new single “Break My Soul” is a catchy one to say the least. It’s been a while since pop music’s queen released any work and the new tune has been eagerly awaited by fans. The single reflects a 90s track by Robin. S called “Show My Love” and samples rapper Big Freedia. I am sure this song will be an anthem for many of us this summer. Beyoncé’s latest album “Renaissance” is out now.

I have been hearing this one on a lot of Instagram reels this last month, yes I know it’s probably from TikTok but I refuse to go there. “As It Was” by Harry Styles is a peppy tune from the former One Direction member. Apparently he played it at a concert in May and it was evident that all the crowd knew the words. This tune will for sure be remembered as a summer 2022 favourite.

We have been waiting for new music from Taylor Swift for a while now and it is finally here. “Carolina” is the latest track from the other pop queen and it’s got her fans going wild. In true Taylor style, the song sticks to that folky sound. It was written for the new movie “When The Crawdads Sing.”
