UAE announces return of stable weather conditions across the country

After three days of continuous rain across the UAE, the Ministry of Interior on Saturday announced that the unstable weather conditions in the country have ended.

The Ministry in a tweet announced the return of the stability of the weather conditions in the country.

The authority further tweeted that it has made the announcement regarding the weather in coordination with the National Emergency Crisis and Disasters Management Authority and the National Centre of Meteorology.

In its tweet, the Ministry praised the proactivity and high flexibility of all police general directorates and concerned authorities in the country with which they dealt with the situation.

Meanwhile, separate areas of the country witnessed, on Saturday morning, continued light to moderate rains, and the state of air instability the country witnessed during the last period due to the passage of a surface depression from the southwest, and the extension of an upper depression from the north, accompanied by an air current from the west, and a cold and moist air mass in the upper atmosphere receded.

Light to moderate rains fell in several areas on Saturday, including Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed International Street towards Turaif and Madinat Zayed in Al Dhafra region, on Al Shuwaib, on Al Hayer in Al Ain city in Abu Dhabi, on Shawka in Ras Al Khaimah, on Bur Dubai, Jumeirah and Al Safa in Dubai, on Al Hamriyah and Al Qaraen in Sharjah, on Manama in Ajman and on other separate areas of the country.

On Saturday, the lowest temperature recorded in the country, 3°C in Jebel Jais in RAK, at 7:15 am, while Jabal Mubarah and Jabal Al Rahba in RAK recorded 5.4°C, and Jebel Hafeet recorded 9.5°C.

The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) expected Sunday weather to be clear to partly cloudy in general over some eastern and coastal areas, and humid at night and on Monday morning over some inland areas with a chance of fog and light fog formation.

Sunday's winds will be northwesterly to northeasterly, light to moderate, brisk at times, at a speed of 10 to 20, amounting to 35 kilometres/h, the NCM indicated.

According to the NCM, Monday's weather will be clear to partly cloudy in general, and humid at night and on Tuesday morning over some coastal and inland areas, with a chance of fog or light fog formation.

Winds on Monday will be light to moderate from the southeast to the northeast at a speed of 10 to 20, amounting to 30 kilometres/h, according to the NCM.

The sea is expected to be light in the Arabian Gulf and in the Sea of Oman.

Tuesday's weather will be clear to partly cloudy in general, with a rise in temperatures and humidity at night and on Wednesday morning over some coastal and inland areas, with the possibility of fog or light fog formation, especially in the north. Light to moderate southeasterly to northeasterly winds, will blow, sometimes active at sea at a speed of 15to 25, up to 40 kilometres/h at sea at night, the NCM reported.

The sea will be light on Tuesday, becoming moderate to turbulent at times in the Arabian Gulf and light in the Sea of Oman.

Wednesday's weather is expected to be clear to partly cloudy in general, with the formation of low clouds in the morning on the eastern coast, and humid at night and on Thursday morning over some inland areas,

Wednesday's winds will be southeasterly to northeasterly, light to moderate.

The NCM appealed to everyone to exercise caution while driving during rains, and with a lack of horizontal visibility, due to rains and stirring dust winds. It advised to stay away from places where water gathers and flows into valleys.

The Abu Dhabi Police also called on drivers to exercise caution due to rainy weather conditions, and to adhere to the variable speeds shown on the electronic guidance signs.
