Gang robs British man in the name of massage, one falls to death while fleeing

An African gang were arrested and referred to criminal court for assaulting and robbing a British man of his belongings in a Dubai hotel room.

The gang used a social media account to offer fake massage services and lure the victim into a hotel room.

A female defendant contacted the victim and made him believe that she offers massage services.

When the victim arrived to the room, he was surprised to see the defendants, two females and three males, and they all managed to tie him up to complete the robbery.

They stole Dhs1,800 and an iPhone 11 Pro from the victim.

Apparently, a previous report was filed against the defendants, accusing them of committing the robbery several times.

When police arrived to the scene, they found that the defendants ran away except for two of them.

A police officer pursued one of the defendants, but the defendant assaulted the officer and managed to flee by jumping from a balcony.

While another female defendant tried to flee the scene by jumping from the same balcony, but unfortunately fell to her death.

Investigations revealed the identity of the runaway defendants and they were all arrested and charged with assault and robbery.
