In line with its plan to expand the scope of tests nationwide for early detection of COVID-19 infections, the Ministry of Health and Prevention announced on Thursday it conducted more than 43,000 new tests on different segments of the society, using the best and latest medical examination technologies.
This led to the detection of 894 new cases of different nationalities. All the patients are in a stable condition and are receiving the necessary medical treatment. This brings to 26,898 the total number of registered cases.

The ministry also announced the death of four patients of different nationalities, bringing to 237the total number of COVID-19 deaths. It offered its sincerest condolences to the families of the deceased and wished fast recovery to all the patients, calling on the members of the society to co-operate with the health authorities and abide by the instruction and social distancing rules to maintain the health and safety of the society.
Meanwhile, the ministry announced full recovery of 946 new cases after receiving the necessary healthcare, bringing to 12,755 the total number of recovered cases.
