Sharjah Municipality takes action against bakery

The Sharjah Municipality confirmed that all health and administrative measures have been taken against a bakery in the emirate after receiving a video clip of a worker doing a disgusting act during baking bread.

In the video, a bakery worker is shown putting his finger on his tongue and then holding the bread.

Accordingly, the municipality has taken all necessary measures, inspected the bakery and confiscated the bread offered for sale. It also alerted the Department of Economic Development to take the necessary measures. The Municipality stressed that the health and safety of community is a top priority, and that it organises inspection visits on a daily basis to all food establishments to ensure their compliance with all health standards and requirements, especially those which have recently applied to them.
