VIDEO: UAE unveils new identity with logo designed by Emiratis

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, and His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, unveiled the UAE’s Nation Brand logo for the next 50 years.
Sheikh Mohammed took to Twitter and said, “Today, my brother Mohamed Bin Zayed and 49 Emirati creators launched the new visual media identity for the Emirates... an identity that represents our map... and escalated our aspirations… seven emirates that are racing the world... and seven founders who immortalized themselves in our history.”
Sheikh Mohammed said, “vote on choosing the identity was 10 million lovers of our state... and we will plant 10 million trees in exchange for their votes... and we call on all sectors, events and institutions to use this logo to convey the story of Emirates to the world.”
Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed said, “My brother Mohammed Bin Rashid launched the visual media identity of the Emirates, which bears the design of the "seven lines," a continuous path of work and ambition for the better for our country and our generations.”
Around 10 million voted for the UAE Nation Brand from 185 countries.
Voters have contributed to planting 10 million trees to empower communities in areas affected by climate change in Nepal and Indonesia as the UAE had promised to plant a tree for every vote as part of the campaign.
The tree plantations will contribute to safeguarding biodiversity, combating climate change, protecting the environment and empowering vulnerable communities affected by climate change. The initiative reflects the UAE’s values of giving and reinforces the country’s role as a beacon of hope in the world.
