Dubai unveils world’s first floating police station

Dubai Police unveiled its groundbreaking project during Gitex Technology Week 2019 at the Dubai World Trade Centre on Wednesday.
The world’s first Floating Police Station will be docked at The World Islands.
Lt. General Sheikh Saif Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior, inaugurated the latest project by the police.
Dubai Police Chief General Abdullah Khalifa Al Merri was also present at the event.
The police station will serve residence in the World islands. They can report crime, traffic incidents and other services.
The launch comes after the police announce the opening of smart station at City Walk in 2017.
Dubai Police have been marketing the new self-service project through electronic bulletins, promotional videos and field visits to explain how to benefit from these kiosks to obtain desired services easily.
