Tamil actor Vijay cycles to polling booth, sparks frenzy

One of south India’s biggest film stars, Vijay, cycled to the polling booth in Tamil Nadu to cast his vote.

The south superstar who is fondly called Thalapathy by fans, left on-lookers absolutely mesmerised.

Seeing the actor cycle to the poll booth made large number of fans support him and follow the actor on their respective two-wheelers.

Many are speculating that the Tamil actor’s gesture to cycle to caste his vote is an attempt to bring more notice to the hike in petrol and diesel prices.

However, a large number of people on two wheelers were riding along with him burning the precious fuel.

Several leading movie stars of the Tamil movie industry have cast their votes early in the morning.

Actor Rajinikanth, star couple Ajit Kumar and Shalini, Surya, Karthi, Sivakumar and others performed their democratic duty silently.

Ajit Kumar and Shalini had reached their polling booth about 20 minutes before the start of polling to vote early in order to avoid the fan crowd.

 Fans are seen following the actor on two-wheelers.

As a matter of fact, in the past polls, the star couple was seen standing in the queue to cast their vote.
