Panasonic readying special taskforce to support Expo 2020

A key advantage for Panasonic is the fact that the Japanese electronics giant has successfully provided a wide range of innovative solutions, technologies and products to other prominent global events in the past such as the Expo Milano 2015. As per the internal survey, Panasonic supplied over 640 visual systems in over 40 pavilions, running unerringly for 15 hours per day over a continuous six-month period.  Selected for high quality and reliability, the brand’s projectors were used to create breathtaking images on a huge variety of surfaces while interactive touch-screen and video-wall panels impressed audiences.  

As Official Ceremony Partner to the Olympic and Paralympic Games Rio 2016, Panasonic provided turnkey visual operations for both the event’s Opening and Closing Ceremonies. This includes spectacular large-scale mapped visuals carefully programmed and projected from four directions using about 110 Panasonic PT-DZ21K2 projectors. The new PT-RZ31K SOLID SHINE Laser projector was also used at key moments throughout the event, its 30,000 lm output and brilliant color performance enhancing live-performance elements.  In addition, the company was also in charge of providing a turnkey visual solution, including projector system design, technical consultation, system installation, and onsite operation and maintenance of the visual systems at the Games.
